8th Grade Parent Night

To help you better prepare for your 8th graders transition to high school, an 8th grade informational parent night will be held here at LMHS on Monday, April 11th, beginning at 6:00 pm. Students and parents are invited to come and learn more about what to expect during the transition to high school and throughout the high school experience. Topics that will be covered include the following:

·         Tips on making a smooth and stress free transition
·         Tips on having a successful high school experience
·         Graduation requirements
·         Preparation tips for both the college and work force bound students (grades, college admissions requirements, skill development, etc.)
·         Details about the new ND State Scholarship Program and how to qualify (the process of qualifying begins freshman year of high school—something parents/guardians really want to know about!)
·         Saving for your student’s post-secondary education
·         Importance of parent/guardian roles in the entire process—from high school transition through graduation

This will also be a great opportunity for you to ask questions…and there will be a variety of materials provided that will assist you in helping and supporting your teen through the next 4 years!

Please contact me by email or phone if you have any questions about this event.
